AIFL 2011 Scoring Procedure
There are three ways to earn points in the AIFL:
1. Your Top 10
You have picked your top 10 contestants and ranked them 1-10. You get points for each week
your contestants make it through eliminations.
Your contestants' points are weighted 10-1 (Your #1 earns 10 points, #2 earns 9, etc) and then
multiplied by the number of week the competition is in.
Example: My #1, 2, and 3 contestants all made it through. It is week 7 of the competition.
I receive a total of 189 points. (#1 worth 10 points times 7, #2 worth 9 points times 7,
#3 worth 8 points times 7. 70 + 63 + 56 = 189!
You can change your top 10 at any time, FOR A PRICE. If you want to switch the order of
2 contestants who are ALREADY IN your top 10, the switch will cost you 50 points.
If you want to bring in a contestant who was NOT IN your top 10, that will cost you 100 points.
Example: My #2 got eliminated, but my #7 is going strong with lots of momentum.
I switch those two for a price of 50 points, and now my new #2 is getting me lots of points.
Example: My #1 was eliminated. I want someone I didn't originally choose to be my new #1.
I plug the new contestant in for a price of 100 points, and I'm ready to rock.
2. Bonus competitions
Each week, a bonus competition will be posted on the AIFL site. Enter your guess for
whatever the week's topic is, and you will receive that week's bonus reward.
3. Guess who's going home
The night before each elimination, I will make a post asking you who you think is going home.
Enter your guess and receive the allotted points.
