So I guess the judges had super glue on their chairs, because they didn't get up to clap at all. I thought there would by multiple standing O's, even if just as a courtesy, guess not. No one gets those points. I am happy to announce that Brian had another song sung, when Jessica sang, "I have nothing".

There's rumors of Duets happening tomorrow night Jessica with Jennifer Holiday, Joshua with Fantasia, etc. Other than the top three, will any other eliminated contestant get a duet? "No" could be a correct answer, Hollie? Skylar? Colton? Heejun? 100 points
The finale usually starts with a big group number consisting of the entire top 12, What will the costume theme be for the opening number? All white? Black? red? blue jeans? biker? zombies? circus? It could be anything, good luck guessing. 100 points
This will be the last question I'll total, Currently Kasia is 2 points ahead of Brett, after all the above bonus questions who will have the higher score? Brett or Kasia? question is worth 2 points!
I tried to give us lots of bonus questions, so everyone could get lots of points, but it looks like Brian stole most of them. He was the only one to guess the Ford Escape and also got closest to the amount of votes cast, which Ryan say was nearly "90 Million".
Jaron, Kasia and Brian all guessed that Joshua was going home.
Amy and Trashley guessed that Joshua would sing It's a man's world.
It all comes down to next week. It looks like the real competition is between husband and wife, Brett and Kasia who keep passing each other up and currently Kasia is 2 points ahead, yes TWO.

It looks like our game is going to come right down to the wire. Our top 4 are all within 311 points of each other. Everyone (except me) picked that Hollie was going home. No one picked Randy having the first signage. So those that moved up, did so because of their strong top 10. Two weeks left.. hold on tight!

We need some bonus questions, but I'm struggling to come up with good ones... Which AI character will we see a poster/banner for first?? Contestants, judges, Seacrest anyone counts. 100 points for correct guess. Next week how many times will a contestant play an instrument? guitar, tambourine, spoons, piano, anything counts. 100 points for correct guess.
Ok, what color was that? I think pretty much everyone could argue that their color was right, it was gold and metallic and black, silver, shimmery, white, so lets call it a wash, or give everyone the points. Why couldn't she just wear a black dress like she was supposed to. Watch out for Brett, he moved up another 3 spots tonight, by guessing the bottom 2 and who's going home correctly plus having one of the strongest top 10's.
Looks like no one sang any of our songs again. Also, no one guessed Steven Van Sant, what's wrong with you guys?? It looks like Carrie will be the next alumni performing, I said we would "Carrie" on that bonus question so, 100 points to Amy, Brett, Jaron and Wilson! Well, No one had a song sung, no one picked the mentor, and no one picked the next alumni performing: Stefano. So many possible bonus points wasted. I will continue the mentor and alumni performer, until some one gets it right, or maybe all season. From my count, it looks like "for me"was said 6 times 1. By Jennifer for Skylar's first song 2. By Randy for Hollies's first song (for me, for you) 3-5. By all three for Jessica's 2nd song 6. By Randy for Elise's 2nd song Congrats Mark for picking 6 times!!!

None of us called that one, and a lot of us took a big hit to our top 10's. We also had no bonus questions in play, so any changes were a result in a strong top 10. Craig currently has the strongest list and moved up 3 slots! Wilson moved up 2! But there's still hope. There's only 200 points separating 9 place from the bronze metal podium spot!! Possible bonus questions still looming out there are:
Songs sung, Next Mentor, Next idol alumni, and "for me".
Why does AI gotta throw a wrench in our game?? So, Jimmy sits alone, there was no mentor tonight, when I needed Jewel to show up! So let's just continue that bonus question all season, If anyone's guess shows up the rest of the season, you'll get the 100 points. Congrats to Craig for having one of his songs sung! 50 points! It's about time something exciting happened. We've got a lot to cover. First of all, both Mark and Wilson had one of their songs sung last night. Second, why are they using old photos of Colton for the Ford music video? Third, The only suit, by AIFL definition, I saw was Mr. Seacrest, everyone guessed 2 or more :( Fourth, No one thought Jessica would be saved, but both Mark and Amber guess the correct week, getting 100 points each! Fifth, We will find out next week who the mentor is for those points. Lastly, Don't forget to check in Wednesday night (or thursday) for another bonus question and elimination. The review of the last night does NOT count. If no one guess correct, the person closest, with out going over gets the 100 points.

What a night. It looks like Randy was wearing Black and Gold glasses, so I'm giving points to anyone who guessed black or yellow, which would be Brian, Trashley, Craig, and Jaron. Both Brian and Kasia guessed that DeAndre was going home and got 2/3 bottom correct, BUT Brett guessed that DeAndre was going home and had his bottom three correct catapulting him from 9th place to 6th place. Congrats!
Here's a little bonus for who ever see's this first: We need a bonus question for next week, first one to post here gets to decide what the question will be!! Remember it needs to be a question that people can answer Wed night or Thursday day AFTER the performance show, but BEFORE the results show. Or I guess it could be apply to the following weeks performance show, if you wanted.
First of all, I had a run in with Heejun this week in NYC. He came in and ate at the restaurant I work at. He's just as awkward in person as he was on TV. Second, I had a feeling, the same one that Hollie had, that we might have some of our songs sung this week, I was right, unfortunately it wasn't one of mine, but Trashley is doing well, "time after time" getting 50 bonus points and jumping from 3rd to 2nd. Third, I'm so excited, I'm so excited, I'm so scared! Fourth, I smell a save coming on. Fifth, Who's' the bottom three? and Who's going home? Lastly, BONUS: As we learned tonight Randy has been a "fashion icon" since the 80's. This season he has really been mixing it up with his eye wear. Congrats to Jaron for guessing that Phillip would be the first one safe!! A BIG pat on the back (or kick in the pants) to Craig for guessing the bottom three correctly and that Heejun was going home. That was 250 points for him, jetting him up from last place to 5th place. It's still a close game, anyone could win. Everyone better watch out for Kasia, from 10th place to 4th place in one week! Goes to show that everyone is still in this game. The point spread between 4th place and 10th place is only 143 points!!! Both Kasia and Trashley(Troy and Ashley, for those of you confused by the name) guessed all three of the bottom 3 and who was going home, Congrats!!
New Bonus Question: During next week's elimination show (Thurs 3/29) who will be the first contestant to find out they are safe. Seacrest usually pulls a group of contestants down, no matter who's in the group, or what order they are called to center stage in, who will be the very first set back to the safety of the couch. Submit your answer before the elimination show. A correct guess is worth 50 points!

Overall I thought that was a pretty good show, looks like our contestants are finally getting their sea legs. But who was the shakiest? Seacrest said the "bottom will be up for elimination" but what exactly does that mean??

If you want to switch the order of 2 contestants who are ALREADY IN your top
10, the switch will cost you 50 points. If you
want to bring in a contestant who was NOT IN your top 10, that will cost you
100 points.Example:
My #2 got eliminated, but my #7 is going strong with lots of momentum. I switch
those two for a price of 50 points, and now my new #2 is getting me lots of
points. Example: My #1 was eliminated.
I want someone I didn't originally choose to be my new #1. I plug
the new contestant in for a price of 100 points, and I'm ready to rock.

It looks like they are changing things up a bit!! They have adopted the sing off elimination style, the bottom 2 will
be put in front of the judges to decide who goes home.

It's not too late to join, we had a very slow start last week, easy for anyone to catch up, but you have to get 5 songs in before Wed nights show. After Wednesday night's performance show, we will update/revise a top ten list, This will be your last chance to modify with out a point penalty. Also we will do a bottom three and guess who is going home.
Here's the deal, we still want to get more people in the league and AI is cutting down the crop too quickly. Pick a top 10 today before the results show, don't stress over it, we will allow you to edit and change this list next week with no point deductions.
If I don't have your 5 songs yet, pick 'em, there's still plenty of songs to be sung this season. Congrats Amber for already picking a performance song.
We will NOT be guessing a bottom three or who's going home, since almost half of them will be packing their bags, just get your songs and top 10 submitted and get a friend or family member to join as well.
Why is everyone so busy this week?? My family has a wedding going on and life seems to be going a million miles an hour for everyone. Here's what we are going to do. We are going to have a "soft" opening to the league. It will definitely benefit you to get your picks in this week, but if you can't join us until next week, it's not the end of the world. Plus, We need more players. Pass this on to your friends and family!!
Here's what needs to be done and when you can/should/must do it!
1. Pick 5 songs you think will be sung sometime this season. It's best to get these song choices in before the first live show on Tues the 28th, because 13 songs will be sung that night and 12 more the next night. You can still join next week, you just missed out on all those chances for your songs to be sung. But full point value is still available for your 5 songs. (Submit by leaving a comment to this, or the previous post)
2. Pick your top 10. To get points for this week, this needs to be done before the Thursday (3/1) night's results show. But since this will be the first week the point value is fairly low. We will allow changes to your top 10 in week 2, WITHOUT any point deductions (soft opening). 3. Wednesday night or Thursday day, any time before the results show, pick a bottom three boys and a bottom 3 girls as well as which boy and which girl you think are going home. Since this is a soft opening and we still want people to be able to join next week, point values will be smaller than usual. 10 points for each bottom three you pick, and 50 points if you get the eliminated contestant correct. (think of it as a bonus this week, next week the big money will start) I will post again about this after the performance shows.

Getting your songs and top 10 picked is the hardest, most time consuming part, it's a lot at once, but after that it will be much easier.
It's that time of year again. Auditions are over and Hollywood round is beginning. My brother Brett has organized an America Idol Fantasy League the past couple of years. With a growing family including a new born baby boy, I've wrangled control out of his hands and am taking over. So now it's Brett and Brian's AIFL! I hope all the folks from the previous years can join and we can find some new blood. Feel free to invite your friends, family, enemies, anyone. Any one is welcome to join, but beware, this is serious business. It's a lot of fun, but it does take a bit of commitment and dedication. Every week on Thursday, BEFORE the results show you will need to submit your elimination guesses. We will be doing some bonus questions (but not weekly) There's no entrance fee and no prize, other than bragging rights.

The semifinals and live performances start on Feb 28th. Song choice is always such a big topic on the show. Before that show pick any 5 songs. Through out the entire season, if one of your songs is sung by a contestant, you will get 50 bonus points for each song.
